About Us

We had a Japanese household cat of two males of Demo and Lee already then.
And,
We purchased a Saint Bernard dog and Persian cats
with the purchase of a house at the same time.
It was our dream to live with them.
Saint Bernard dog, HIME(princess) was a woman
.
(Hime 1987〜1997)

We wanted to see her puppies only once.
But, as for most of the Japanese people, it is difficult to want a big dog
for the circumstance of the house..
Therefore, we gave up breeding of her.

Thus breeding with a cat began from 1987.
They were Persian and Himalayan cats that time.
They are the sweetly beautiful cats which a human being made.

But, In 1990,
I did love at first sight to that cat when the photograph of the cat
standing at the side of the tree was seen.
I thought that it was "the most beautiful cat which was in the nature", and
I was fascinated by that cat, and then fell in love.
(That book is "Legacy of the Cat". Gloria Stephens is a writer.
A photographer is Tetsu Yamazaki.
And, The cat of that photograph is Nissekatt's Beyla of MarchGras.)
I have been in love with Norwegian Forest Cat since it.

After I saw Nissekatt's Beyla of MarchGras in the book, I wanted to know about NFC,
and looked for many books.
Because I couldn't know even her name because her name was not on that book.

The man who saw the book of the photograph of "Nissekatt's Beyla of MarchGras" in the same way
in Japan imported NFC male from America first.(Wegiekatt's Dane)
He handed over the cat to a woman friend later.
His owner changed,
and a new owner imported the female who become a pair with him in Japan.

I made contact with her, and did a reservation for the kitten.
And, I got the photograph of NFC which copied and materials from her .
There was a photograph of the grandmother of the male cat in that copy.
A grandmother's name is "Maineline Skadikatt of Norskau", and
a copy were the pages of "Ten years in the U.S.A" of the book in "Cat World International" on September/October, 1989.
I was very much fascinated though "Maineline Skadikatt of Norskau" of the figure in the snow which
I saw was the copy of black and white.
I thought that her figure in the snow was very beautiful.
I kept waiting for the kitten who resembles her.

Those days, A Norwegian dog and a cat were broadcast on Japanese television.
That cat was the Norwegian Forest cat.
They were the mother cats which had a kitten and the child cat.
I was fascinated again by that child cat.
He not sat tight before a camera like a mischievous boy.
He was very beautiful though it was in the house.
However, I did not have a clue because the broadcast did not say their name either.
I have wanted to go to Norway since that time.

Two years had passed from the reservation, and
a kitten of Boy came to our house in 1993.
And I imported some cats from favorite one breeder in America.

After that, the Internet appeared, and the world became very near.
I went to Norway which a friend and I were hoping for thanks to the Internet.
I saw the photograph of "Nissekatt's Beyla of MarchGras" with the Norwegian show in Norway.
I asked about her name, and I knew her name here.
Furthermore, I could meet breeder who was broadcast on Japanese television, and
I could know the name of the child cat, too.
His name is "Ollendorffs Edison".
He became the No.1 cat in Norway in 1993.
Many things which I wanted to know became clear in Norway.
And, I could meet Pan's Polaris (13 years old) of the real thing which is the base of our cats.
And, it could meet breeders who were a base in many pedigrees, too.
Thus the cats which fascinated me increased more.

It is very difficult to make the cat which looks like the cat which still fascinated me.
Therefore, I am hoping that produce a beautiful cat in
the nature like many NFCs that fascinated me.
Furthermore, though the cat which Japan which a show system is different from makes,
we want to make the nice cat which home country Norway is not disappointed at .

t may be difficult for us to live without Norwegian Forest Cat,
because I became a captive of their charm.
